The Frostbound Wake

Monks who carve prayers into glacial ice and wait for the thaw to read them.

High on the shoulder of Kethren Peak, the Wake keeps a vigil older than the mountain's name. Each monk is given one prayer, one chisel, and a lifetime. The glacier carries their work downward at the pace of stone. Some prayers have been in transit for centuries.
