We do not accept paid links, followed-link placements, SEO guest posts, prewritten brand advertorial presented as editorial, undisclosed affiliate material, scraped or lightly rewritten work, invented first-person experience, or a demand that coverage guarantee a favorable conclusion.

• No payment for links, rankings, list position, ratings, or review conclusions.
• No simultaneous full-draft submission when another outlet has exclusive consideration.
• No confidential, private, embargoed, or personally identifying material through an unapproved channel.
• No generative output offered as original reporting, quotation, reading completion, credential, or lived experience.

Readers, authors, and publishers may nominate an independently published fantasy book for future consideration after the governed nomination form opens. A nomination is a discovery lead, not a review request, promise of coverage, list placement, link, or favorable conclusion.

Nominations are currently closed. When the form opens, supplying a review copy, purchase link, affiliate option, advertising relationship, or Everlore connection will never buy eligibility or order. Relevant relationships will be disclosed on any resulting coverage.

Article pitches are closed. The private commissioning workspace, agreement record, brief, fact-check, and payment controls are ready, but no public pitch queue is open. Sending work to a general support address does not start a pitch review or create confidentiality, assignment, publication, or payment obligations.

When intake opens, the target will be an acknowledgement within seven calendar days and an accept, decline, or still-reviewing decision within 30 calendar days. Those are service targets, not publication promises. An accepted idea becomes an assignment only after both sides agree to a written commissioning brief covering scope, deadline, fee, expenses, rights, edits, disclosures, and payment timing.

Accepted original commissions are paid in US dollars. The baseline flat fees below are minimum commitments for their stated scopes; a more demanding assignment may pay more. The exact fee and any pre-approved expenses are agreed in writing before work begins. The Grimoire does not substitute exposure, affiliate revenue, products, review copies, or a backlink for the commissioned fee.

Payment is due within 30 calendar days after the agreed deliverable is accepted and the contributor supplies the information reasonably required to pay them. If The Grimoire cancels an assigned piece for publication reasons after work begins, the default kill fee is 50% of the commissioned fee. A completed, accepted deliverable killed for publication reasons is paid at 100%. Fraud, plagiarism, material breach, or contributor withdrawal may change that result under the written brief.

• Short service article or essay, 800–1,200 words: $200.
• Criticism, interview, or craft feature, 1,200–2,000 words: $350.
• Reported feature, 2,000–3,500 words: $600.
• Visual or expert contribution: $250 minimum, with scope and deliverables agreed in writing.
• A material scope change requires a revised fee and brief, not silent extra work.

The default commissioning position is that the contributor retains copyright while granting Everlore Hollow the agreed first-publication and continuing archival rights needed to publish, preserve, distribute, excerpt, and promote the commissioned piece. Any exclusivity window, translation, adaptation, syndication, reuse, or work-made-for-hire term must be explicit; the signed agreement controls.

The publication may substantively edit, copyedit, fact-check, format, title, illustrate, and request revisions. Material changes are discussed with the contributor, but Travis DiPerna makes the final publish decision. Acceptance never guarantees publication when evidence, rights, safety, disclosure, accessibility, or quality problems remain unresolved.

Disclose employment, ownership, clients, close relationships, gifts, review copies, travel, affiliate interests, prior work, or other connections relevant to the proposed subject. A manageable relationship may be disclosed; a disqualifying conflict may require reassignment or decline.

Harassment, retaliation, plagiarism, discrimination, threats, doxxing, paid-link demands, and misuse of private source or contributor information are prohibited. Concerns and cancellation requests go to Travis through the published contact route; raising a good-faith concern does not waive payment already earned.

When intake opens, the form will state what personal information is collected, why, who can see it, how long it is retained, and how to withdraw. Until then, do not send a full manuscript, identity document, payment detail, private source material, health information, or unpublished third-party work.
